March 2024 Results

Congratulations to all of the winning teams in the March 2024 WTBBC. We ended up with 655 teams entered. We weighed 42 qualified bobcats and paid out $150,650 in prize money.

For the 3 contests combined in 2024, we had a total of 1836 teams entered, paid out $421,280 in prize money, gave away some pretty awesome prizes from our sponsors, and we had a heck of a good time doing it. That brings our all time total payout (since 2008) to $3,961,020. We think that’s pretty unbelievable, and we know that it could not happen without all the hunters who support the contest and enjoy a little competitive predator hunting.

We would like to give a huge THANK YOU to our sponsors this year for adding more ways to win with a qualified cat, and for donating items to the door prize drawing. Special thanks to Twisted Precision Rifles for stepping up again this month to cover all of the polygraph fees so that money doesn’t come out of the prize pot. Please show them your appreciation of their support by visiting their websites or establishments and patronizing them when they can be of service to you. They have really outdone themselves this year.

Our 2025 contest dates are posted. Be sure to mark your calendars so you can ask off of work and get your kitchen passes.
We look forward to seeing you all again in 2025.

More Ways to Win In 2024

We have been working hard during the offseason to make the 2024 WTBBC better than ever. With the help of some very generous sponsors, we’ve added a few more ways to take home prizes if you’re not in the cash payout spots.

In addition to paying out our Top 5 Big Bobcat places, the Most Fox, Cats, and Coyotes Jackpots, and the Heaviest Grey Fox Jackpot, we have added the following:

  • Diligent Defense Co. is giving each member of the team with the 20th place Qualified Bobcat one of their suppressors.
  • SilencerCo is giving each member of the team with the Heaviest Qualified FEMALE Bobcat one of their suppressors.
  • Horizon Firearms is giving one of their Vandal 22 Creedmoor rifles to a member of the team with the 22nd place Qualified Bobcat. The team members will draw playing cards to see who gets the rifle. The remaining members of the team will receive a 22% discount off of a Horizon Firearms rifle.
  • FREQ Calls is adding $1,000 prize money to any team that wins any category of the contest while using their new FREQ Ultrasonic Game Call. (Heaviest Bobcat 1st-5th place, Most Jackpots, or Heaviest Fox). To qualify, provide proof that a member of your team personally purchased the FREQ Ultrasonic Game Call, and take a team photo with your animals and the FREQ. It’s possible to win more than $1,000 if you qualify in multiple categories. i.e. 2nd Place Cat and Most Coyotes. This additional prize money will be paid directly by Burnham Brothers.

So if you have a qualified bobcat that you think is too small to place in a money spot, you’ll definitely want to make the trip to weigh-in. You may get lucky and fall into one of the new prize slots. A qualified bobcat is one that was killed within the contest hours, within the rules of the contest, and is accompanied by 5 grey fox or 5 coyotes.

We will also have a ton of awesome prizes to give away in the door prize drawing. If you’ve entered the contest, you’re eligible for the drawing, however you must be present at weigh-in to win.

If you haven’t already registered, what are you waiting for? Get signed up on-line or in person at The Outdoorsman, Field & Streams, Texas Gun Shop or Grogan’s Farm & Ranch.

While you’re here, check out our WTBBC Gear Store. The store will close on January 17, and orders will be processed and shipped. We will reopen it soon after that if you missed the cutoff.

We hope to see you on Sunday! Good Luck!
