March 2017 Results

Congratulations to all of the winning teams in the March 2017 WTBBC. We had another great turnout this month with 613 teams entered.  We weighed 58 qualified cats and paid out $122,600 in prize money.

2017 was a great year for the WTBBC.  For the 3 contests combined, we had a total of 1937 teams entered, paid out $387,400 in prize money, gave away some pretty awesome prizes from our sponsors, and we had a heck of a good time doing it.

Once again we had a great turnout for our February 2017 contest.  There were a total of 695 teams entered, and we paid out $139,000 in prize money to the Big Bobcat and Jackpot winners.  We also gave away some very nice prizes donated by our sponsors.  Be sure to check out their websites or establishments to show them your appreciation for supporting this contest.

Online registration is now open for anyone wanting to enter the March contest using PayPal.  Teams can still mail in their entry forms with their team’s entry fee, but be sure they get to us BY THURSDAY before the contest.  (Money Order or Cashiers Check ONLY.  No personal checks, please.)  Of course, you can also stop by Field and Streams in San Angelo, Texas any time between now and 12:00 PM on the Saturday of the contest. The entry fee is due when you turn in your entry form.  There are NO REFUNDS.

Online registration will stay open until the contest starts at 12:00 PM, Saturday, March 25th. It will be turned off automatically at that time, and no more entries will be taken.

Please note that we have had to move weigh-in to a different location. We have simply outgrown the parking lot of Field & Streams. Weigh-in will be held at the Tom Green County 4-H Center. To pull up the location on your phone, you’ll need to use the following address: 3735 US-277, San Angelo, TX 76905.

Remember, if you need to make changes to your team members after you’ve turned in your entry form, it MUST be done via email so that we have a record of it.  An email to info@wtbbc.org is the ONLY acceptable method to add/remove a team member.  Submitting your team change using the Contact Us page is the same as an email.  Your team change request must include all of your original team members’ full names and the name(s) of the person(s) you are adding/removing.

Thank you all for your patience while we adjusted to the new location and flow of things. We ran a little longer than usual this time, but overall we really like the setup at the new place. We will make adjustments for the March contest and be back running efficiently.

January 2017 Results

Congratulations to all of the winning teams in the January 2017 WTBBC, and thank you to all who entered. Our total team count was 629 teams, that’s exactly 100 teams more than our previous record set last March. We weighed 65 qualified bobcats, and paid out $125,800 in prize money. We had an enormous turnout at weigh-in. We attribute that to the growth of the contest, and partly to the fact that we are paying out 5 places now. You just never know if that 24 pound cat might slip into 5th place.

Online registration is now open for anyone wanting to enter the January contest.  Teams can still mail in their entry forms with the entry fee, but be sure to get them to us before the contest starts.  (Money order or Cashiers Check ONLY.  No personal checks, please.)  Of course, you can also stop by Field and Streams any time between now and noon on the Saturday of the contest. The entry fee is due when you turn in your entry form.  Please remember there are NO REFUNDS.
Online registration will close at 12:00 AM, Saturday, January 28th, to give us time before the contest to transfer the funds from the PayPal account.  Don’t wait until the last minute if you are going to register online.

Congratulations to all of the winning teams in the March 2016 WTBBC. We had another one for the record books this month.  529 teams entered the contest this month.  We weighed 47 cats and paid out $104,950 in prize money.

2016 turned out to be a great year for the WTBBC.  For the 3 contests combined, we had a total of 1457 teams enter, paid out $288,850 in prize money, gave away some pretty awesome prizes from our sponsors, and had a heck of a time doing it.
